Friday: The Gateway to Weekend Joy and Celebration
Friday arrives like a breath of fresh air, signaling the long-awaited weekend. It's a day when nighttime calls are absent, and the prospect of two days of freedom from work awaits. Finding the right words to express this feeling can be challenging—it's akin to growing wings and being ready to take flight.
We become weekend planning pros, strategizing Instagram or Facebook live sessions, or organizing weekend trips and family gatherings. We view the world through a different lens on Fridays. The evening sky on a Friday seems fresher, and our evening walks become a rejuvenating experience where we cherish our free time and reconnect with people we may have unintentionally neglected during the week.
Even if we've spent the entire week confined to the same room, Friday evenings reveal the true extent of the mess, motivating us to clean, prepare special meals, or embark on binge-watching marathons of videos from the past week.
There's often a desire to stow our mobile phones away in a locker for the next two days and start fresh. However, the reality sets in once the night passes. I recall a recent experience when, in the Friday evening fervor, I planned an Instagram live session for Saturday afternoon. Yet, upon waking up, I found myself questioning my decision and ultimately dropping the plan. Friday evenings can inspire profound thoughts, but we must thoroughly evaluate them the next day to determine if they should become a reality.
The reality of the weekend is often accompanied by feelings of tiredness. Waking up, getting ready, and accomplishing all the things we had planned can be a struggle.
Yet, once we step out of our homes, we enter a new world filled with unplanned happiness, adventures, and cherished moments.
